Leadership & Development Person Position
The Leadership & Development role includes supervisory, administrative, mentorship, and on-call responsibilities, in addition to direct work. Leadership & Development staff maintain open lines of communication between team members, themselves, Pod Wranglers, and Directors at all times. They provide mentorship, training, and supports to the team. Leadership & Development staff will identify each team member’s strengths and interests to find areas that align with team related needs and enroll them where appropriate.
The LD staff will always be positive, creative and encouraging with the team and ensure that they and their team members at all times adhere to Neighborhood Bridges philosophies, Code of Ethical Human Behaviours, and government requirements.
Supervision Duties:
Provide orientation, training and assessment for new staff
Ensure documentation is fully completed according to schedule.
Provide hands on mentoring and shadowing to the new and existing staff
Work with Anarchy Administrator to ensure the person has adequate support to learn the mechanics of their daily work.
Ensure that team members have all the info they need for their daily activities
Be available to team members for daily questions as they arise.
Proactively engage with all team members through regular Performance Support Tracking.
Schedule and lead team meetings.
Encourage, motivate and seek creativity from team members to support the best possible outcomes for the people for whom we work.
Identify team members who require additional performance supports and or disciplinary action, communicate those needs to collaboratively ensure appropriate steps are taken.
Ensure staff strongly adhere to Neighborhood Bridges policy, ethics, and confidentiality agreements.
Communication:
Create a culture of democratic communication, active participation, and healthy communication
Engage in creative, collaborative, and solution-focused practice with your teams.
Proactively participate in planning with people who hire the agency and their families
Actively share skills, learning and knowledge acquired with all community members
Other Position Duties:
Attend leadership and all-staff meetings
Ensure timely review and maintenance of all annualized documents including ISP, support plans, consents.
Maintain medical, financial, and schedule documentation.
Ensure post-orientation checklists are completed and provided to the People Wrangler.
Participation in a phone on-call support rotation
This position may include some evening and weekend work
Provide and document regular and ongoing mentorship and support to team members
Current Police Information Check and Child Welfare Intervention Record Check are required
